June '08- Kaiser Records are proud to bring you- from
the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and the
oldest inland city in the continental United States-
Lancaster, Pa.'s very own sons, The Butchers!!

The debut release "Reach Out! With… The Butchers"
contains thirteen well sharpened implements of their
trade all GUARANTEED to slice easily through the
doldrums of common radio fare. Running the gamut of
Garage, Pop, Psych, and R&B- from all-out wild Rave-
Ups to tales of teenage shutdown; from bone-chilling
Ballads to primitive pounding Punkers! The Butchers
don't limit themselves to just one cut o' meat; they
slaughter the whole dang sacred cow while channeling
the spirits of The Fantastic Dee-Jays/Swamp Rats,
The Yardbirds, The Pretty Things, The 13th Floor
Elevators, and the Flamin' Groovies. Includes special
guest appearances by Kris Alutius & Scott Rogers of
the amazing Mondo Topless.
This album is chock full o' prime cuts just the way we
ordered: Thick and Bloody! And so, we invite you to
dig in, and Reach Out! With… The Butchers.
On Kaiser Records, of course.
These will be available June 24th, but you can pre-
order now and be the first on your block to own this
pounder!!

Phew, long weekend. Damn jet lag! The Butchers were
supposed to play in Lancaster this weekend, but the
club was shut down.
Mr. Booze is cursed with the Blue Star (that might not
be a bad thing...we don't know!). The Butchers are
trying to get their shit together so that they will have
new and fun things to sell to you at shows 'cause you
can't get enough Butchers merch! They are psyched to
be playing for the Atlanta Roller Derby in May of this
year (thanks Jill !!) Check out the shows page for more
current upcoming shows.
ps...just wanted to throw out an apology to the
Lonesome Kings for omitting them on the links page. It
wasn't 'cause we don't like you, we just don't like Ryan
(f-l-y-iiii-n-apostrophe!)

Well, this weekend the South rose again. The Milestone
is a killer bar in Charlotte NC. We would like to thank
all those fine folks who made for an enjoyably chaotic
night. You gotta love a bar who loves Roky Erickson!
Then we made the classic decision to drive down to
Atlanta right after the show. Morning traffic in Atlanta
sucks ass, but well worth it to get to the ATL. Parking
lots in Atlanta are the best. What can we say about
Atlanta...Star Bar, rockin' as usual....DriveInvasion,
best 2 days spent camping at a drive-in...Hillbilly
Werewolf...Lust...Infernals...45s...Nine Pound
Hammer...Remo....Monroe Brandywine...just because
you are a girl drummer does not make you a
lesbian...Andre...Francis Richardson...Truck
skateboarding...F, L, Y, III, N, Apostrophe...first your
sister, now your girlfriend...boxer shorts and black
socks...Jimmy Bickert and Jimmy Bickert's girlfriend,
Liser....Shane "not Randall" Morton....corn shuckin' and
corn throwin'...even Jim Stacy thinks Dusty is an
asshole...a loaf of toast...hill horseshoes...did the rock
make it??
